Residents, Families and Partners,
At Wisteria Place Assisted Living, we’re committed to keeping you up-to-date and informed, especially during the turbulent times caused by COVID-19.
We are writing to inform you that one of our employees has been diagnosed positive with COVID-19. The employee last worked at the facility on April 16. The employee informed us on April 17 that a family member had tested positive for COVID-19, and upon learning this, the employee was placed off duty for fourteen days to see if any signs or symptoms of the virus were experienced by the employee. We just learned that the employee was tested on April 18 and received results a few days ago indicating the employee was positive for the virus.
To our knowledge, the employee continues to show no signs or symptoms of the virus. Be assured we are following all CDC and local health department guidelines in both determining the employee’s return to work date and any additional precautions that will be taken upon the employee’s return to work.
To date, we have no residents that have tested positive for the virus.
We continue to take all recommended actions to minimize the possible spread of this virus. These include things you are already aware of like restricted visitation, no communal dining, no external activities, and no group activities within the facility. Our staff also daily monitor residents for signs and symptoms as or any other changes in condition. We use all recommended infection control measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) when interacting with our residents. We also conduct frequent cleanings of all high touch surfaces in common areas throughout the building.
As always, we will notify residents’ primary physicians and designated family members of any changes in their loved one’s condition, whether potentially related to COVID-19 or not.
We will keep you updated as any changes at the facility occur. Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
