Visitation News Update

We believe many of you have heard the Texas Governor’s announcement yesterday that he is lifting COVID related restrictions throughout the state as of Wednesday, March 10.  We are sure you all have questions about how this impacts the possible “re-opening” of our Community, especially as it relates to visitation. In the Governor’s Executive Order GA-34, it states that assisted living facilities and long-term care facilities should continue to follow guidance from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding any visitation and should continue to follow infection control policies and practices issued by HHSC.  Therefore, we do not currently anticipate any changes to our current practices next week.  Our staff will continue to wear masks and practice the COVID related infection control procedures and the COVID related staff and resident assessments that have been in place for almost a year. We will communicate any changes, based on guidance from the TX HHSC and local health department.
